Posey Retiring After 17 Years Leading Oktibbeha County
OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A familiar face that has helped guide Oktibbeha County through almost two decades of growing pains is stepping down.
County Administrator says deciding to retire is the hardest decision he’s ever made. His last day is Dec. 20. He’s been county administrator since 1976
Posey says he wanted to retire before he got too old to enjoy the remainder of his life. He plans to restore and ride old cars and motorcycles, hunt and fish and spend more time with his wife of 46 years.
Supervisors will begin a search for his replacement shortly after his last day.
