Friends of Lake Lowndes host annual Lakeside Treasures event

The event is made up of an arts and crafts bazaar, food vendors, and more.

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI)- Friends of Lake Lowndes hosted their annual Lakeside Treasures event on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The event is made up of an arts and crafts bazaar, food vendors, and more.

Lakeside Treasures is a fundraising event that allows Friends of Lake Lowndes to add updates like picnic tables and fire pits to the park.

Member of Friends of Lake Lowndes Tony Hannah said they use events like these to bring the community to Lake Lowndes.

“We are here for the community, and bringing an event like this to the park brings people that would not normally come to the park,” Hannah said. “We just enjoy giving back to our community and making sure our community knows how beautiful Lake Lowndes is.”This event also helps raise money for other events that are held at Lake Lowndes such as Music in May
