Firefighters pitch in to help decorate tree in downtown Columbus
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Decorating the Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving is a tradition for many, but most of us don’t need a firetruck to get it done.
Firefighters from Columbus Fire and Rescue rolled out Ladder 19 to help Columbus Main Street decorate the city’s Christmas Tree next to the Tennessee Williams Welcome Center this morning.
The ladder truck came in handy since the tree is about the same height as the Welcome Center.
The ladies from Main Street and the firefighters were putting on the final touches before the city’s Tree Lighting, which will be held on November 27 from 5:30 until 7 p.m. next to the Welcome Center.
