Peter’s Rock Church helps feed families for Thanksgiving

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – As the holidays are approaching, some families might be struggling with food.

Peter’s Rock Temple Church of God In Christ in Starkville donated turkeys to the community to help out those in need.

Peter’s Rock Church member Cheryl Young said that she hoped that the community realized that it is better to give than to receive.

“Every year especially around the holidays we try to help our community. With COVID, many people do not have jobs and there are a lot of hardships. So, we just want to help anyone around so that they can have a nice Thanksgiving,” said Young.

Lots of Love Learning Center also donated 20 turkeys to the drive.
