More pleasant going into the weekend

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Clouds will be filling back in on Friday, ahead of the approaching cold front. The weekend looks very pleasant and comfortable, with mostly clear conditions. Early next week is looking a little unstable.

THURSDAY NIGHT: The cloud coverage cleared out much more today than expected, allowing temperatures to reach into the upper 70s! It is going to be an overall mild night, with overnight low temps dropping into the middle 50s.

FRIDAY: A few more clouds will be filling back in and across northern Mississippi, ahead of the cold front. The front should pass during the afternoon. There is a light chance of seeing a few scattered showers embedded in the clouds, as the front moves through. High temperatures should be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Overnight low temperatures will be comfortable in the low to middle 50s.

WEEKEND: Much nicer conditions for the weekend! High temperatures will be around normal, in the middle to upper 60s. There will be a mostly clear sky. Colder air will move in fast, dropping overnight low temperatures, Saturday into Sunday morning, into the middle 30s. For Sunday night, back in the low to middle 50s with an increased chance for some overnight rain.
