Eupora man dies in vehicle crash on Highway 50 in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Eupora man was killed in a Clay County accident Thursday morning.

31-year-old William Bland died at the scene of the crash on Highway 50, near Pheba, at about 5:35 a.m.

Coroner Alvin Carter said it appeared there was a head-on collision between Bland’s vehicle and a semi.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was flown out of the area for treatment.

This crash remained under investigation by the coroner and sheriff’s office, along with the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
