Chilly Halloween forecast

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Happy Halloween! The sun makes a return today, but it will still be chilly and breezy. We will continue this cold stretch into Wednesday before a warm up begins on Thursday. By the weekend, highs are back in the 70s!

TUESDAY: Despite the sun coming back out today, highs will stay in the mid-50s. Trick-or-treating this evening will be cold! Temperatures will fall through the 40s, but it will feel a few degrees colder than that.

TUESDAY NIGHT: A freeze warning is in effect for everyone tonight. Lows will drop into the upper-20s. Combined with the wind, it will feel like the low-20s!

WEDNESDAY: Highs in the mid-50s with continuing sunshine.

REST OF THE WEEK: Lows will dip back into the upper-20s Wednesday night, but we warm nicely into the low-60s on Thursday. That warming trend will continue through the weekend when the 70s make a comeback.
