Montgomery, Noxubee counties declare burn bans

MONTGOMERY/NOXUBEE COUNTIES, Miss. (WCBI) – More Counties in our viewing area are now under a burn ban.

Montgomery County declared a burn ban this week that remains until further notice.

Noxubee County made the 10th county in our viewing area to announce a burn ban.

The board of supervisors said the ban is effective immediately and will expire 30 days from October 25 barring any updates.

You can be fined if you are caught burning while a ban is in place.

Most of the restrictions are scheduled to expire in November but they could be extended.
