Second tornado fatality victim name released

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Another person has died as a result of Saturday’s tornado.

Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant said 77-year-old Donnie Schippel was repairing the roof of a business Wednesday.

The accident happened on 6th Street South.

Schippel fell about 12 foot and died at the scene.

Friends said he was a selfless man, always wanting to help others.

The first tornado victim, Ashley Pounds, died Saturday.
