Friendship Fosters Foundation
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville firefighter and the man to whom he donated a kidney are teaming up to start a foundation dedicated to helping others enjoy the great outdoors.
Rob Robinson met Gil Alexander when he asked Alexander if he could hunt on his southwest Kansas farm.
When Robinson learned that Alexander needed a kidney transplant, he didn’t hesitate to be tested to see if he was a match for his friend.
Now months after the surgery, the two have launched the non-profit organization “Forever Outdoors.”
Robinson tells the Starkville Daily News the two hope to provide fun and educational outdoor adventures for young people facing obstacles as well as wounded soldiers.
