Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers Has Given Out Hundreds In Reward Money This Month
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers has paid out $3,000 this month.
The reward money comes after information leads to an arrest.
The lowest amount someone can receive is $150 and $1,000 is the highest.
The amount is based on the degree of an offense.
Board members say a lot of people have been calling in information about wanted persons.
“Crime Stoppers for a minimum pay out for a wanted person is four-hundred dollars, so if you call in and you see somebody on the news that is wanted for petty larceny or burglary, call us. It’s $400 minimum for it,” says Lowndes Narcotics Task Force agent, Max Branch.
Branch wants to remind everyone that Crime Stoppers just wants your information, not your name.
