Hamilton threat is hoax
HAMILTON (WCBI) – A precautionary lockdown at Hamilton school is over with no threat located.
The lockdown was launched after a phone call hinted that an intruder was headed to the school.
Monroe County deputies established a perimeter to guard the school while investigators worked to confirm the threat was a hoax.
Below is the complete statement from Supt. Scott Cantrell on the incident.
The Hamilton School administration, faculty, staff, students and parents are to be commended with their response to the precautionary lockdown today. A phone call to the school led administrators to believe there could be a possible intruder with intentions of entering the campus, and lockdown procedures were immediately put in place. However, at no time was there any person on campus who had been accused of making said comments.
