Man jailed for allegedly threatening to kill doctor

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tishomingo man was jailed after he threatened to kill a doctor at the Veterans Clinic in Tupelo.

A federal affidavit said Edward Stephen Mcnatt called the VA Crisis hotline from his Tishomingo home Friday and told them he planned to travel to the Tupelo clinic January 30 and kill the doctor.

The affadavit said McNatt was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and blamed the illness on delays in getting a neurology consultation from the Tupelo VA clinic.
