Car crash damages gas line in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A car crash damaged a gas line at a busy Columbus intersection Monday afternoon.

The accident happened near the Military Road, 13th Street and 10 Avenue North intersections.

A Columbus police spokesman said the driver of the vehicle left the scene.

The intersections were shut down until crews could assess the situation. No evacuations were ordered.

Atmos Energy worked to repair the line.

CPD is investigating the accident.
