Lowndes county crash sends two teens to hospital

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A SUV full of teenagers overturned and crashed into a utility pole in Lowndes County.

The accident happened just before noon Wednesday on Yorkville Road, near Crowe Road.

A sheriff’s department spokesman says a GMC Envoy was going west when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

It overturned and broke the light pole in half.

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were both taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

A 14 year-old passenger was not injured.

Deputies are still investigating the accident.
