Yokohama announces shutdown at West Point plant

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Yokohama is suspending production at its West Point plant in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The company said production will be suspended after Saturday, March 28.

The shutdown is expected to last two weeks.

The plant’s shipping department will maintain normal operations hours, along with other maintenance related jobs.

The West Point plant produces commercial truck tires.
