Man that escaped Noxubee County Community Work Center pleads guilty to three charges

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man that escaped from the Noxubee County Community Work Center plead guilty to three charges.

Terry Pierce Jr. pled guilty to escape, attempted carjacking, and felony taking a motor vehicle.

He was ordered to serve the next 18 years in prison.

You may remember dramatic video of Pierce trying to escape law enforcement in Scooba after a high-speed chase in January 2019.

Investigators said Pierce escaped from the Macon facility then attempted to steal a vehicle but was unsuccessful.

He then found a truck and stole it.

Pierce was arrested in Scooba after the pursuit.

He was originally serving 15 years out of Pearl River County for aggravated assault and fleeing from a law enforcement officer convictions from 2009.
