Longtime Starkville Baseball HC Carlisle Passes Away

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Longtime Yellowjackets head baseball coach and teacher Danny Carlisle passed away in his home, Wednesday morning.

The man who Starkville’s baseball field is named after helped build the program into a state powerhouse, winning three state championships.

Carlisle coached for 28 years, and had battled cancer for the past decade.

Carlisle was 65 years old.
