MSDH is reporting most new COVID-19 cases in one day

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – The state of Mississippi is reporting its most new cases of coronavirus in one day.

According to the department of health, there are 3,255 new cases today and 48 deaths.

That brings the state’s total to more than 231,000 cases of COVID-19 and more than 5,000 deaths.

The report also shows ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities throughout the state.
