Annual associates lunch provides preview of Tupelo Charity Ball

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Members of the Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo have geared for that organization’s only fundraiser of the year.

The annual associates lunch for JA members was held at Park Heights.

The event is an opportunity for Junior Auxiliary members to get updates on service projects the club takes part in.

It was also a chance to sample the menu for the upcoming Charity Ball.

JA members have worked through the year, planning and organizing the event.

“We do a clothes closet for elementary schools, where they come in receive clothes, we have silent servings where we pack bags for kids to go home on Friday so they have food over the weekend,” said Kim Root, Charity Ball Chairman.

“Lots of work but always fun to get in the kitchen with lots of women and a lot of fun to work together, it is a lot of work but a lot of community comes together for donations,” said Lauren Babb, Food Chairman.

The 57th annual Charity Ball takes place February 21.  The theme for this year is “Disco Revival.”
