Kenny Armistad wanted as a person of interest in Lowndes County

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) Multiple sources are confirming to WCBI the person of interest Columbus police want to interview is Kenny Armistad.

Armistad was arrested just after 10 PM in Pickens County, Alabama.

Sheriff Todd Hall says one of his deputies attempted to pull Armistad over on Highway 82, near the state line, but the Columbus man refused to stop.

Police from Reform and Gordo joined in the pursuit.

We are told the chase ended on Highway 14, near the state line.

Armistad is charged with reckless driving and attempting to elude.

The investigation is continuing and other charges are possible.
