Noxubee County deputies are searching for Travontea Slaughter

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Noxubee County deputies are looking for a gunman after a shooting that occurred on Wednesday.

Travontae Slaughter is wanted for an aggravated assault charge.

Investigators say the shooting happened at Tenn Tom Grocery Store about 4:30 PM yesterday.

Slaughter was last seen driving an older model, tan Toyota Camry.

The victim, LaDarius Weston, was shot in the torso. He was later airlifted to a Jackson hospital.

Deputies say Slaughter is considered armed and dangerous.
