WCBI-TV and Vitalant for a blood drive at the Columbus YMCA

COLUMBUS, MISS. (WCBI) – There’s a need to give blood in the community.

WCBI partnered with Vitalant today to collect blood donations. The blood service set up their mobile unit at the Columbus YMCA.

Vitalant health care workers are encouraging healthy people to take the time to give blood. The coronavirus pandemic makes it challenging to meet the needs of patients in the hospital who are facing cancer treatments, trauma, and other illnesses.

All donors were required to wear a mask.
