COVID-19 cases above 2,000 for second day in a row
JACKSON, MISS. (WCBI) – New coronavirus cases in Mississippi are above 2,000 for the second straight day.
The state department of health is reporting 2,168 new cases today and 28 deaths.
In our area, Lowndes County has the most new cases with 83. Lee County is reporting 73.
Union County has 49 new cases and Oktibbeha has 47.
There are 1,040 COVID-19 patients being treated in hospitals across the state.
264 are in ICU and 138 on ventilators.
