Columbus firefighters rescue man from burning home

COLUMBUS, MISS. (WCBI) – Columbus firefighters rescue a man from a burning home.

The fire happened about 3:15 this afternoon on Miller Lane.

Assistant Fire Chief Duane Hughes says the man was found in the back of the home.

The victim was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle with smoke inhalation issues.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
