Video: Lee County Deaths Ruled Homicide, Suicide

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Authorities have determined the cause of death for the three people found in the Macedonia Community Tuesday (3/26) morning.

Lee County coroner Carolyn Green says the deaths of 46-year-old Danica McCord and her daughter, 13-year-old Destiny McCord have been ruled homicides. They each died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

55-year-old Wiley Young’s death has been ruled a suicide. He also died of a single gunshot wound.

All three were found by a family member at their home on Lee County road around 8:30 a.m.

Investigators recovered a .45 handgun from the scene.
