Saltillo man charged with assault

LEE COUNTY (WCBI) –  A Saltillo man is charged in connection with a savage beating.  Sheriff Jim Johnson says deputies were called to the hospital when an unconscious man with severe head injuries was brought in for treatment

Investigators say 46 year old Kerry Scruggs is suspected of jumping the victim while he was repairing a truck.  Scruggs was on federal probation so federal officers helped deputies arrest him.
