Clay County Supervisors Approve New Restrictions

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – There are some new rules in place in Clay County to help fight the spread of coronavirus.

The board of supervisors passed a resolution this week that puts in place a curfew and mask requirement. It also limits occupancy in certain public places.

The curfew will be in effect from 10:00pm to 5:00am for the next 30 days. It does not apply to travel for essential business or medical emergencies.

The resolution also requires people to wear face coverings in indoor and outdoor spaces.

Restaurants can not exceed 50% capacity. And bars, clubs and other establishments have limited capacity based on their ability to maintain social distancing.
