Strong economy could translate into busy Tupelo furniture market
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A strong economy has organizers of the bi-annual Tupelo Furniture Market feeling optimistic.
The “Fall” market officially starts Thursday at the sprawling Tupelo Furniture Market complex on Coley Road.
Vendors and Buyers from across the nation will do business, as furniture stores order their inventory for the next few months, and even into the Christmas season.
V.M. Cleveland is the founder of the Tupelo Furniture Market and said although there have been many changes in the furniture industry in recent years, this market should ride the tide of a strong economy.
“If you’re in the southeast region, and need distribution, for the little guys, we also get the big guys too, but there are less and less of them, but we actually have a little resurgence on some of the little guys, little manufacturers as this economy has gotten better we are seeing resurgence on new spring ups,” said Cleveland.
The Tupelo Furniture Market runs Thursday through Sunday.
It will bring thousands of people from nearly every state into Tupelo for the bi-annual market.
