City of Houston wins Levitt Foundation grant

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – The votes are in and the city of Houston is a winner.

The city was one of 30 small cities competing for grants from the Levitt Foundation to host a series of concerts.

After an online vote, 20 grants were awarded.

Houston will receive $25,000 to stage 10 shows in the Levitt Amp Music series at Legion State Park.

The Chickasaw Development Foundation and Potters House will organize and schedule the concerts.
