Ole Miss Reveals Women’s Basketball Non-Conference Schedule

OXFORD, Miss. (Ole Miss Athletics) – Ole Miss women’s basketball has unveiled its non-conference schedule and SEC home/away assignments for the upcoming 2019-20 season, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin announced on Tuesday.

“I truly believe this schedule will give us a chance to not only see where we are, but also grow together,” McPhee-McCuin said. “We’re going to use every game as a single-game championship. The ultimate goal is to build a national brand, and we can’t do that without fan support at our beautiful Pavilion. We have a great group of young ladies that are willing to take on the challenge ahead of playing in the best league in the country, and I believe this schedule will prepare us for that.”

The Rebels open with an exhibition against Division II Clark Atlanta at The Pavilion on Nov. 1, followed by the regular season opener at home on Nov. 5 vs. MVSU to kick off a homestand that includes ULM on Nov. 10 and New Orleans on Nov. 15. Ole Miss hits the road on Nov. 19, making the trek to Southern Miss for the first time since 2015.

Ole Miss returns to host Louisiana Tech (Nov. 23) and Sam Houston State (Nov. 26) before heading to Florida for the Daytona Beach Invitational for two games on Nov. 29-30 against opponents that will be announced at a later date.

From there, the Rebels travel to Lubbock, Texas for the first time since 2004 to take on Texas Tech as part of the 2019 Big 12/SEC Challenge on Dec. 4. The non-conference season concludes with a four-game stay at The Pavilion against Southeast Missouri (Dec. 14), Georgia Southern (Dec. 16; Kids Day), Louisiana (Dec. 20) and Alabama State (Dec. 28).

Ole Miss also released its home/away designations for the upcoming SEC season on Wednesday. Coming to The Pavilion this season are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee, while the Rebels will travel to Auburn, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

Season tickets for the 2018-19 season are now on sale. Dates, times and TV assignments for both the non-conference and SEC seasons will be announced at a later date.
