Tupelo Police Make Assault, Child Enticement Arrests

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Another Northeast Mississippi man is charged with trying to entice a child into sex. And in an unrelated case, a man is charged with burning up a woman’s car.

Tupelo Police say 25-year-old Nathan Cole Stutsy of Belden is charged with enticement of a child for sexual purposes. He was arrested Monday. He remains in the Lee County Jail.

He is the fifth man arrested by Tupelo Police in the last month on similar charges.

Trimble

In the other case, 27-year-old William Trimble of Tupelo is charged with aggravated domestic assault, burglary and arson stemming from an incident Sunday.

Tupelo Police say Trimble broke into a woman’s home, beat her, set her car and some of her belongings on fire and then fled.

Officers found him a short time later. He is being held on $6,400 bond.
