Alabama unemployment rate continues at steady rate
ALABAMA (WCBI) – Alabama’s unemployment rate continues to stay steady.
Right now, the unemployment rate is 2.6% for the month of August.
That’s well below what it was last year when it was 3.3%.
The number of people counted as employed is reaching a new high by more than 67,000.
Close to 2.3 million people in the state have jobs.
