Tupelo Woman Gets Time for Exploitation
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-A Tupelo woman will do jail time for stealing from the elderly woman for whom she cared.
55-year-old Lucy Judon was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to two counts of felony exploitation of a vunerable person.
According to the attorney general’s, Judon worked as a private sitter for the 92 year-old victim and over the course of 14 months, withdrew more than $22,000 dollars from the victim’s bank account. She also opened five credit card accounts in the victim’s name and spent more $2,800 dollars on them.
The judge sentenced Judon to a total of 15 years with 14 suspended, followed by year of probation.
Judon has until May of this year to pay full restitution from money stolen from the back account.
She has until the end of her probation to pay off the credit card charges.
