Man charged with aggravated assault after shooting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – 32-year-old Corey Rice was charged with aggravated assault.

Columbus police were called to 22nd Street South and Bell Avenue on Saturday evening for the gunfire.

Investigators believe an argument led to the shooting, as well.

The victim remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
