Alabama releases unemployment numbers for last week

More than 106,000 unemployment claims were filed in Alabama last week.

The state department of labor released the official count Thursday.

At least 94,000 of those claims are COVID-19 related.

Locally, Lamar County had 158 claims filed.

381 were filed in Pickens County.
