West Point Man Charged in Pot Bust

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A West Point man is busted with more than a pound of marijuana.

Lowndes County narcotics agents say they had been watching 23-year-old Jeffery Walker as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking. He was arrested Monday following a traffic stop.

Agents say they found more than a pound of marijuana and an undetermined amount of cash. Bond has not been set.
