LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-A West Point man is in jail after allegedly trying to run a witness in his upcoming trial off the road.

According to authorities, 35 year-old Jonathan Harris rammed and attempted to run a witness of North Lehemburg Street with his red pick up on Sunday.

The witness was to testify against him in an upcoming circuit court case.

Harris is charged with Retaliation Against a Public Servant.

His bond is set at $7,500 dollars.
