New assistant police chief steps down, a week after swearing in ceremony

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Just one week after his swearing-in ceremony, Columbus Police’s new assistant chief is stepping down.

Edrick Hall was sworn in last Tuesday, but has chosen to step down and return to Indianola.

A Columbus city spokesman said Hall will resume his position as Chief of Police in Indianola, following a vote from their city council, requesting his return.
