Longtime Lowndes County Constable Injured In Morning Crash
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A longtime Lowndes County constable is injured in a Monday morning crash.
The crash happened on Harrison Road, just before 8 AM.
Willie “Hoot” West was seriously injured in the wreck.
Lowndes County deputies believe the marked constable car West was driving left the road, in a sharp curve, and hit a tree.
The accident remains under investigation.
West was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle and later transferred to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
