Iuka man gets life sentence for child abuse

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- An Iuka man is found guilty of abusing a child back in 2016.

Lonnie Lavis Lee was convicted by a jury for Felony Child Abuse Resulting in serious bodily Harm.

In March of 2016, a three year old girl was taken to the Iuka hospital with severe external injuries and soon taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

At the time Lee stated the injuries were from an accident.

Wednesday, Circuit Court Judge Kelly Mims sentenced Lee to life in prison.
