At 256 PM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding ongoing
between Red Bay and Russellville in Franklin County, Alabama. About
a foot of water was across the roadway on Alabama Highway 524 hear
Highway 49 due west of Russellville. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2
inches is possible through 5 PM CDT this evening.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Warning for the following rivers in Mississippi...

Town Creek at Tupelo

For the Town Creek...including Tupelo...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Town Creek at Tupelo.

* WHEN...From this evening to tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Overbank flooding begins near the creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 21.6 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
morning.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
