COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Next Wednesday night, trick or treaters will hit the streets, dressed in their costumes and armed with bags for candy.

With Halloween coming up, the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus held an event to make sure that the children are safe.

Hosted by MUW’s Hearin Program, organizers added a fun spin to safety lessons with games and goody bags.

Children should avoid candy that is not sealed and should be accompanied by at least one adult.

Despite Halloween landing on a Wednesday this year, trick or treating activities will still be held on All Hallows’ Eve..
