70 Year-Old Sentenced In Drug Case

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A 70 year-old Noxubee County woman will spend ten years in prison on a drug charge.

Ruth Daniels pled guilty to possession of marijuana more than five kilograms.

She was arrested in July 2014 after deputies and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents found 70 marijuana plants.

Daniels will also be on probation and must enroll in a department of corrections drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.
