Video: Aberdeen Main Street Revitalization

Aberdeen, MS (WCBI)–A portion of downtown Aberdeen will be the focus of revitalization efforts in the next 12 months.

Main Street Director Ann Tackett discussed the plans Wednesday at Evans Memorial Library.

Grant money will help spur some of the development.

Tackett spoke to a group of residents about a new business and a new look coming to downtown.

“We want to continue the development of the east part of town. We want to work on the façade of those buildings. We also just received a grant to work with the old depot down there to develop a cannery,” said Tackett.

She was appointed Director of Aberdeen Main Street earlier this year.
