No injuries in Sunday officer involved shooting

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A Houston man is facing several charges, after a pursuit and an officer involved shooting, in Calhoun County.

Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan, said a pursuit was started by Webster County deputies, and went into Calhoun County about 5 p.m. Sunday.

At the intersection of County Roads 346, and 348, Pollan said, Chico Robinson, 39, attempted to hit a Calhoun County deputy, and Calhoun City police officer, that were standing outside of their patrol cars.

The officers fired at Robinson, hitting his vehicle several times.

Robinson drove about half mile and ran from his car.

16 hours later he turned himself in at the sheriff’s department.

No one was injured in the incident.

Robinson is being charged with Attempted Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Felony Fleeing in Calhoun County.

We are checking to see if Robinson will face charges in Webster County.
