Former educator formally charged with sex crimes

TUPELO (WCBI) – A former Tupelo High teacher is now formally charged with 2 counts of sexual battery and 5 counts of child molestation

Lee County prosecutor James Moore presented the results of the investigation into Braeden Bishop  to Judge Thomas Gardner. It took less than an hour for Gardner to agree the contact between December 2017 and October rises to the level of criminal behavior. Bishop was immediately taken to the Lee County Detention Center for processing. Bond is set at $100,000    The case will now go to the next session of the Lee County grand jury.
