LOWNDES COUNTY, miss. (WCBI) – Utility companies say they’re working to restore power to more than 90-thousand customers in south and central mississippi. Entergy officials say there were over 48-hundred customers without power in their four-state area. Mississippi Power Company reports about 11-thousand customers without power in their southern counties. Four County Electric Power Association is sending crews south to help restore power where needed. Foreman Rob Giles tells us, “people are real open to us coming and they love to see us. They are just happy to see us to get their lights back on.” Many crews were called in Wednesday night after winds from Isaac got too strong. They were back out early Thursday morning.
