4 County Celebrates Anniversary
LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) — Members of 4 County Electric Power Association gathered Thursday at EMCC’s Mayhew Campus for it’s annual meeting and 75th Anniversary Celebration.
Nearly one thousand people participated in a health care screening prior to the meeting and enjoyed a tethered hot air balloon ride. Employees of the association having assets valued at some $211.8 million, have seen a lot of computerized changes in pass decades as they serve customers.
“Its really changed our business a whole lot, from you know our meter readings. Just technology in general,” said Lisa Lee, 4 County Employee.
“The linemen are trained really well now, get to go to a lot of schools. And just very well trained now,” said Bert Hadaway, 4 County Employee.
Great door prizes at the celebration even included a white pickup truck. 4 County serves about 47,000 members in parts of 9 counties.
