Columbus Man Accused Of Threatening To Kill Federal Employees
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is being held on a federal complaint of assaulting or impeding a federal employee.

An affidavit filed in federal court says 47-year-old Bartholomew Hairston threatened to kill the workers at the Columbus VA clinic.
Hairston reportedly went inside the clinic Tuesday morning, February 6, complaining of frostbite.
Workers say he became agitated and made the threats.
Staffers were able to convince Hairston they were calling another office to help him but instead called 911 and Columbus Police were able to detain him without incident.
No one was injured.
Hairston will face a federal detention hearing Tuesday.
